McGill “felt like home” for CEGEP recruit (VIDEO)

CEGEP wide receiver joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class

For Felix Lupien, one moment during his recruitment process was a game changer.

Recently, the 6’4, 215 pound wide receiver from Lachute, Quebec committed to the McGill Redmen.  Lupien will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

While he felt comfortable with the football program and campus, Redmen Offensive Coordinator Benout Groulx provided a special moment which made Lupien realize that was the place he wanted to play at the CIS level.

“Within my first visit I felt like home,” recalled the offensive standout. “The coaching staff such as Sebastien Levesque, were very close with me.”

“Ron Hilaire is a great coach with a strong mentality that fits me. Also, when Benoit Groulx showed me his playbook, I knew at that moment I wanted to play for him even if others universities talked to me. For school, I couldn’t ask for any better which was a part of my plan.”
