Hamilton:
A rough weekend for the Varsity Tiger Cats as only one of four teams that saw action emerged with a victory.
OFC BANTAM SOUTH
In a battle of unbeatens, the Bantam South squad overwhelmed the Chatham Kent Cougars 54-7. Jawaun Smith paced the winners with rushing majors of 12, 3 and 88 yards. Brayden Kelly (1 yard run), Cody Hutchinson (17 yard reception), Anthony Beaudoin (41 and 30 yard interception returns) and Brock Procee Goeree (21 yard run) were the other major scores for Hamilton. Sebastien Mella booted 5 converts and Jaylen Smith also hoofed a convert. Ethan Jordan caught a 21 yard Evan Torres pass for the Cougars lone touchdown which was converted by Quinton Emerick. Hamilton moves to 3-0 with the win to join Burlington atop the division while Chatham Kent dropped to 2-1.
OFC BANTAM NORTH
Jeremy Hicks 3 touchdowns and a 2 point convert were not enough as the Bantam North Cats were nipped 27-26 by the Peterborough Wolverines in Peterborough. Mason Isowa added the other Hamilton major. Mack McFarlane led Peterborough with 3 touchdowns with Max LeVasseur adding the other major. Spencer Vesnaver converted 3 of the 4 winners touchdowns. The North unit drops to 2-1 while Wolverines improve to 1-2.
OMFL
Both OMFL teams did not have a successful trip to Tottenham. The Bantam squad were shut out for the second straight week as they were blanked 34-0 by the Express and dropped to 1-3 on the season. The Junior Varsity unit continue to struggle to score as they were nipped 7-6 by the Express and drop to 1-2. In their first three gamesthe JV have only scored 12 points. Burlington:
BANTAM
The Bantam Stampeders continued their winning ways with a 27-6 decision over the visitors from Brantford. Liam Keary led the winners with a 55 yard punt return and latched on to a Keegan Hall pass from 18 yards out. Jackson Cooling caught Hall’s other scoring pass on a 54 yard pass and run while Sito Tomas Berrio plunged in from a yard out. Ved Hatolkar was good on 3 of 4 convert tries. Spencer Cockerill scored the lone Bison major on a 24 yard pass from Dalton Hineline Vinson. Stamps share top spot in the Bantam South Division with Hamilton at 3-0 while Brantford dropped to 0-3.
PEE WEE
Too much Lucas Cabral was the difference as the Pee Wee Stamps dropped a 43-25 decision to the Twin Cities Predators. Cabral scored on runs of 1, 39 and 9 yards, passed to Nicolas Tosello Herakovic and ran in a 2 point convert to lead the Preds. Other scores for the winners included Caleb Sargeant with a 50 yard run, and Adryan Ellis with a 3 yard run. Joseph Corman booted 4 converts for the Predators as well. Jake Mahoney led the Stamps with scoring runs of 48 and 61 yards. Abdul Abdelaziz ran in from 51 yards and Ethan Dilworth plunged in from a yard out. Ryan Smith added a convert as the Stamps dropped to 1-2 while Twin Cities sits atop the standings as 3-0
