Luke begins every block with violence and aggression and finishes every single block in the same manner. Off the field, Luke has put in a lot of work in the weight room. He has developed his size and strength incredibly in the past six months which just goes to show his level of commitment to our club. Luke also gives back to the community by volunteering and taking part in the 2016 Alzheimer’s Walk in support of Alzheimer’s and Dementia research and support programs.” |

“Darren Dennis wasn’t the biggest or strongest offensive lineman in the league this season, but he had consistently big and strong performances for the Privateers all season long. He was a staple in their offensive line and never missed a snap as the team had multiple players rotate in at the two guard positions. He was acknowledged by his peers as one of the hardest working linemen in the league this year and his tenacity and effort helped his QB stay upright all season long. He iwas the Privateers cornerstone for the 2016 season and their choice for the Unsung Hero Award.” |

From equipment manager, Defensive Back coach, Special Teams coach, code of conduct coordinator, game day field setup coordinator…the list doesn’t seem to stop. Not only is he always the first person at practice and the last one to leave, he drives from over a half an hour away to be there…not just some of the time…all of the time. Steve gives everything he has to the Gladiators and he is clearly the right choice for Volunteer of the Year. “ |
