Family members have confirmed that former Canadian Football League coach Ron Lancaster Jr. and current Sir Allan MacNab coach was found dead in his Hamilton apartment late Tuesday.
Lancaster coached at several CIS schools including Acadia, McMaster, Toronto, and Manitoba. He left Manitoba (where he was head coach) to become the offensive coordinator with his father in Edmonton in 1996. He then went to Hamilton in 1998 where they won a Grey Cup championship in 1999.
Ron was currently teaching and coaching at Sir Allan MacNab high school in Hamilton. Condolences are extended from the CFC football family to the Lancaster family, friends, coaching & player friends.
