Football Quebec announces 40-man roster for Football Canada Cup

Football Quebec announced the 40 man roster that will represent Quebec in this years Football Canada Cup. After a selection process that began in March and saw over 400 players throughout Quebec tryout, the coaching staff has their final 40 players. Training camp opened Friday at the Royal Military College in St-Jean with 53 players invited. Head Coach Marc Loranger has this to say about the last cuts:

“As with every cut, the choice was not easy. It’s always a disappointment to make eliminations. All the young people in training camp worked well and I give a lot of credit to young people who were part of the top 53. The final choice was made based on player skill and contribution to the team is really what allowed us to decide.”
