For three seasons, Spencer suited up for his high school football team, the St. Albert Skyhawks. During his senior year with the team, the offensive standout experienced a special moment on the field.

“My most memorable football experience was in my senior year winning our quarterfinal game in overtime,” says the star receiver.

As for the next chapter in his young football career, Spencer will stay in his home province. Recently, he committed to the University of Calgary and says he was impressed by what he saw in their football program.

“I committed to Calgary because of the atmosphere and attitude of the whole program,” explains the future Dinos player. “Coaches, players and staff are there to win and constantly grow as a whole.”

“I believe that by being in that environment I will be able to compete and provide at my highest ability.”

Spencer would not have been able to reach his football goals without the positive influences of his parents and high school coaches. As for future goals, the receiver would like to obtain a Master’s degree in Education. Furthermore, he would like to eventually move south of the border to Louisiana, where he hopes to be involved with a large high school athletic program.

There is one thing Spencer has taken away from football which he uses to successfully tackle all aspects of his life.

“Football has taught me to take each day one step at a time,” comments Spencer.
