OVFL: Wildcats defeat Cumberland Panthers for first time ever
“It’s a huge win for our program”, said a happy Wildcat head coach, Kirby Camplin.
The Wildcats led the entire game. A long pass and catch to Alex Pilon began the scoring, one of three passing touchdowns for QB Alex Pilon on the day. The other two were to Chris Millward (20 yards) and Pat Giroux (60 yards).
The second Wildcat TD of the game was a 60-yard ‘pick six’ by Reeve Nicholson. Owen Stevens and Jesse St John both had interceptions for the defense. Stevens put an exclamation point on the game with a 60-yard fumble recovery touchdown.
Jayden Henry and Brandon Smith had receiving touchdowns for the Panthers.
