With two weeks of playoffs under our belts one thing is for certain, three of the four defending champions will not be around to defend their title. After having had a virtual stranglehold on the OVFL JV title Mississauga bowed out this week, as well as defending Varsity champ London. On the OFC side hopes of a three-peat came crashing down last week as Twin Cities was unceremoniously dumped from this year’s playoff hunt. Only JV Burlington has a chance to repeat. In what was easily the game of the week the Essex Ravens downed defending senior champ London 36-34 and on the JV side Cambridge surprised folks, not so much by beating Mississauga, but more so for the ease at which they accomplished this.
