BCFC Week 10 schedule – final week of the regular season
Westshore Rebels vs VI Raiders – 1 pm at Caledonia Park (Saturday, October 5)
The good news for the Rebels is they have a shot of getting into the playoffs. The bad news for the Rebels is they’ll have to go through the Raiders in order to do so. The Rebels gave themselves the chance, albeit a slim one, last week when they knocked off the Broncos by a 22-20 score but they’ll be in tough to get by the Raiders who are on a major roll having won six in a row including defeating the Rams by a 22-12 last week.
Langley Rams vs Valley Husker – 1 pm at Exhibition Stadium (Saturday, October 5)
These aren’t exactly good times for the playoff-bound Rams. Just a few weeks ago they looked like they would run away with the top spot in the league standings. Now they need a win and some help from out-of-town to try in order to secure a home playoff date. The Huskers, meanwhile, have not managed to win on home turf all season long but they’ll need to come up with one this weekend if they hope to have a chance to sneaking into post-season.
Kamloops Broncos vs Okanagan Sun – 2 pm at Apple Bowl (Sunday, October 6)
The Broncos had an opportunity to lock down their playoff berth last weekend but a loss to the Rebels means they’ll have to sweat it out a bit this week unless they manage to pull off the stunning upset and knock off their Interior rivals. The Sun, meanwhile, have won three in a row and can secure a home playoff date with a win on Sunday while a win coupled with a Raiders loss would give the Sun home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
