TORONTO – Chris Garrett, Rennie Curran, Jamal Miles and Andrew Harris were named the Gibson’s Finest Players of the Week for Week 19 of the 2013 Canadian Football League season.
The four players were chosen by a panel of judges including: former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

Chris Garrett
RB – Saskatchewan Roughriders
Edmonton Eskimos 30 @ Saskatchewan Roughriders 26
Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Chris Garrett was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week 19. Garrett rushed for 152 yards on 23 attempts (6.6 YPC) including an 8-yard touchdown run, but it wasn’t enough as Edmonton defeated Saskatchewan 30-26 in the season finale.
Garrett scored his touchdown in the third quarter which gave the Roughriders a 17-13 advantage. Garrett also had three receptions for 28 yards in the game.
The second all-time leader in yards gained at Ohio University, Garrett finished his season with 191 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Rennie Curran
LB – Edmonton Eskimos

Edmonton Eskimos linebacker Rennie Curran was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week 19. Curran tied his season-high with 11 tackles and added a 56-yard interception return for a touchdown to help Edmonton finish their season with a win over Saskatchewan.
Curran, a former two-time All-SEC player with University of Georgia, intercepted a Drew Willy pass and returned it for his first CFL touchdown.
In his first season in the CFL, Curran accumulated 70 tackles, two interceptions and two sacks. Curran also was named Gibson’s Finest CFL Defensive Player of the Week twice this season, his first coming in Week 16.

Jamal Miles
KR – Edmonton Eskimos

Edmonton Eskimos kick returner Jamal Miles was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 19. Miles had a clutch 79-yard punt return touchdown with under a minute to play in the game to give the Eskimos the 30-26 victory.
Miles was a threat anytime he returned the ball. On four kickoff returns, he collected 157 yards (39.3 per return) including a 69-yard return. He also had 105 yards on six punt returns (17.5 per punt), including his late return score.
The all-time kickoff return leader at Arizona State had 306 all-purpose yards in the game.
Miles, in his first season in the CFL, netted 1,050 yards in all-purpose return yards.

Andrew Harris
RB – BC Lions
Calgary Stampeders 7 @ BC Lions 26
BC Lions running back Andrew Harris was named the Canadian Player of the Week for Week 19. Harris ran for 102 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries (6.4 YPC) in the Lions’ 26-7 win over the Stampeders.
Harris also added a reception for 7 yards and returned two punts for 40 yards in the game.
The four-year CFL veteran from Winnipeg, MB finished the season third in the CFL in rushing with 998 rushing yards, 513 receiving yards and 11 total touchdowns.
This is Harris’ second Gibson’s Finest CFL Canadian Player of the Week this season with his first coming in Week 2.
