WATERLOO, Ont. (April 2, 2014) – The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men’s football team will wrap up their two-week spring camp this Saturday, April 5 when they head to Guelph for a scrimmage against the Gryphons.
Action gets underway at 1 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
“While this is not a game, it’s about the closest thing we can get to at this time of year as it will be a very competitive practice,” said head coach Michael Faulds. “We’re looking forward to seeing where our group is at after what we feel has been a very good offseason for our guys.”
The two teams will run through a number of drills including 1-on-1’s, Inside Run and Pass Skelly before concluding with a scrimmage where each offence will have the opportunity to run approximately 40 plays.
The Golden Hawks are coming off a season where they finished 1-7 in the OUA standings while the Gryphons were 7-1.
