CJFL: Raiders and Rams set for championship rematch this Saturday

For the second straight season the Cullen Cup championship will come down to a tilt between the Vancouver Island Raiders and the Langley Rams.

The game will be played at the home of the Raiders, Caledonia Park in Nanaimo, this Saturday, October 27 with kickoff scheduled for 1 pm PT.
Both the Raiders and Rams booked their spot in the title game last Saturday with convincing semi-final victories.
The Raiders burst out of the gate slow in their semi-final contest against the Okanagan Sun but managed to turn an 8-3 half-time deficit into a 34-8 victory after posting 31 unanswered points in the second half.
The Rams had a much easier time getting by the Westshore Rebels in their semifinal blanking their opponent by a 33-0 score.
The Rams will now try to prevent the Raiders from capturing their seventh consecutive BCFC championship and avenge their loss in last year’s Cullen Cup game that saw the Raiders pound the Rams by a 44-0 score.
The Raiders and Rams have met three times this season with Vancouver Island capturing two of the three meetings while the third contest finished in a draw.
