Midget: Coquitlam Falcons vs North Delta Longhorns
With the top four spots in the Midget division getting a first-round bye in the playoffs, the intensity builds for those teams in the logjam from second to eighth place where only one game separates those seven teams.
The Coquitlam Falcons are 5-3 and tied for seventh but in reality they have not lost a game on the field this season as all three of their losses came from forfeits due to roster error. The Falcons are on a tear shutting out their last two opponents and seeking a top-four finish.
For the Longhorns, it has been an up and down season. However, they too have blanked their last two opponents and now look to extend their win streak to three games. A win this weekend and North Delta has a good chance of grabbing a top-four spot with a little help around the league.
With Meadow Ridge playing North Surrey and White Rock hosting Victoria this weekend, the final standings in the Midget division are still anyone’s guess.
Game time is 1:45 pm at John Oliver Park in North Delta.
Junior Bantam: Coquitlam Raiders vs South Delta Rams
Coquitlam teams are currently dominating the Junior Bantam division with both the Raiders and Vikings coming into action this week with identical 8-0 records. With this weekend being the last of the regular season in this division, both the Vikings and Raiders hope to emerge still perfect at the conclusion of the week.
For the Raiders, however, their last road game of the season will not be an easy one as they travel across the river to South Delta where the Rams (7-1) hope to bring their ‘A’ game and finish the season with a pivotal win over the Raiders.
The Rams started the year with six straight wins shutting out all their opponents before suffering a close loss at the hands of the undefeated Vikings. A win this Sunday by the Rams and they would capture second place and two rounds of home field games. They could even have a long shot at earning first place overall with some help.
The Raiders will look to keep the division an all-Coquitlam affair but the road goes through South Delta this Sunday.
Game time is 12:30 pm at Dennison Park in South Delta.

The Niners are one of three teams tied for second-place in the standings with a 5-2 record so far albeit one of the Niners’ losses this season came via forfeit.

Pee Wee: West Kelowna Sundevils vs Kamloops Wildcats
The regular season comes to a close in the Pee Wee division this weekend with the featured match-up seeing two teams trying to jockey for playoff position.
The Sundevils and Wildcats know they will both host a first-round playoff match-up next weekend but this game will determine who finishes in third spot and fourth spot, respectively. It could have major implications down the road as finishing in third could potentially mean avoiding the undefeated Vernon Yellow Jackets by the time the semi-finals come around.
Game time is 12 pm at the Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops.
Junior Bantam: Vernon Marauders vs Kelowna Dragons
The Vernon Marauders (5-4) will face the Kelowna Dragons (3-6) in a tune-up game before the playoffs begin next weekend as the regular season comes to an end in the Junior Bantam division this weekend.
The Marauders come into the contest on a two-game losing streak while the Dragons are Dragons halted a five-game losing streak last weekend with their 28-0 win over the Kamloops Broncos.
