BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: Kankolongo shines in victory, Gilbert bright spot in loss

BC HIGH SCHOOL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

• Terry Fox RB Jeremie Kankolongo had nine carries for 146 yards and three touchdowns in his team’s 32-0 blanking of Lord Tweedsmuir.
• Lord Tweedsmuir’s Tyson Gilbert had 12 tackles and two sacks in a 32-0 loss to Terry Fox.
• Rutland RB Matt Klak had nine carries for 118 yards and three touchdowns (including one on an 80-yard run), while teammate RB Dakota Robertson had 16 carries for 110 yards. Klak also had a pair of sacks, while Robertson recorded nine solo tackles.
• New Westminster QB Jamie Shiho threw touchdown passes of 80- and 55- yards toREC Michael Thind and REC Justin Swartz, respectively, while QB Nick Hauka hit Swartz with a 81-yard major as part of a 42-7 win over Belmont.
• Mt. Douglas QB Gideone Kremler went 9-of-14 for 179 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-7 win over Notre Dame. He also scored on a 12-yard rush.
• Handsworth RB Leon Kyoya had a 70-yard touchdown reception, and added rushing scores from two and eight yards in a 24-21 win over Argyle. QB Sam Tholl went 8-of-11 for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
• Argyle QB Cole Theobald went 21-of-24 for 178 yards and three touchdowns in a 24-21 loss to Handsworth.
• South Kamloops QB Ben MacDonald rushed for three touchdowns in a 23-13 win on a windy day over Clarence Fulton
• Clarence Fulton RB Caden Doyle had touchdown rushes of 75 and 33 yards in a 23-13 loss to South Kamloops.
• Langley QB Wes Van Vliet connected with REC Jayden Korfman on a 25-yard touchdown pass and also rushed for a TD on his own to provide the winning points in a 20-13 victory over Holy Cross.
• Vernon RB Zack Hyer scored on a 29-yard rush and also had a 55-yard pick six in a 34-7 win over Westsyde.
• GW Graham’s Anthony Bodger had an 80-yard kickoff return as part of a 21-14 win over Robert Bateman. QB Gabe Olivares went 14-of-26 for 213 yards and a touchdown, in addition to rushing for a couple of majors as well.
• Pitt Meadows RB Haden Hardy rushed for 245 yards and four touchdowns in a 40-0 shutout win over Rick Hansen.
• Windsor QB Ryan Baker went 8-of-9 for 205 yards and four touchdowns to lead his team to a 33-20 win over Ballenas. REC James McMichael caught seven passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns, while RB Jacob Edmonds rushed 22 times for 141 yards and one touchdown.
• Carson Graham QB Tyler Nylander went 11-of-15 for 191 yards and two touchdowns in a 54-7 win over Earl Marriott.
• Vancouver College RB Jasper Schiedel had 14 carries for 187 yards and four touchdowns (including one from 75 yards out) to lift his team to a 34-8 win over South Delta.
• Seaquam’s Nico Bertuzzi had a 35-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in a 22-8 win over Salmon Arm.
• Kelowna QB Parker Simson rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-14 win over WJ Mouat. He also added one passing TD, and had a couple of interceptions as well.
• WJ Mouat REC Nelson Lokombo caught seven passes for 55 yards and a touchdown in a 33-14 loss to WJ Mouat.
• Abbotsford QB John Madigan had a 60-yard TD pass to REC Reese Morrison and also added a two-yard rushing TD in a 24-21 win over Mission.
• Hugh Boyd RB Gabe Saklofsky had a seven-yard touchdown run, an 82-yard touchdown reception and a 34-yard pick-six as part of his team’s 24-0 win over Frank Hurt.
• Prince George QB Isaac Rogers had two identical 70-yard rushing touchdowns, whileRB Trent Price rushed for three scores in a 53-0 win over Nechako Valley.
