Calgary recruit heading for Toronto

Calgary linebacker signs with OUA team.

Justin Larocque is moving out of the Prairies to embark on his CIS career.

Recently, the 6’2, 205 pound linebacker from Calgary, Alberta signed with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.  Larocque will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

Ultimately, the strength of the academic programs was the overriding reason why he chose the Blues.

“For me, Toronto was an easy decision because I’m more focused on getting a good education than a career in football,” commented Larocque.  “With Toronto being the top sciences school in the country, they made the choice very easy for me.”

“There is also the added bonus of having a top notch facility and a coaching staff that understands the importance of an athlete’s education.”
