Brampton receiver returns to home province, joins OUA team.
Carleton Ravens have announced the addition of Chad Manchulenko to their football program.
The 6’0, 180 pound receiver from Brampton, Ontario will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.
Manchulenko comes over to the Ravens after a stint with NCAA Division 2’s Simon Fraser Clan.
“Chad is transferring back to Ontario and going to be joining the Ravens program in 2015,” commented Ravens Head Coach Steve Sumarah. “He is an explosive athlete that can play on offense or defense and also special teams.”
“We are excited to have Chad join our program.”
Previous to the Clan, Manchulenko played for the Brampton Bulldogs of the Ontario Varsity Football League and New England prep team, Hebron Lumberjacks.
For his part, the desire to be near home as well as the strengths of both the academic and football programs made Carleton the most viable option for him.
“I chose Carleton because academically, they have the program I really want to get into and it is a lot closer to my family,” elaborated Manchulenko of his decision to transfer. “Also, the football program is just starting up and is quickly on the rise thanks to Coach Steve along with the rest of the coaching staff having shown how dedicated they are to building a championship winning team and I are truly grateful for the opportunity to play for them.”
