Nelson will certainly Remember the Titans after a tough 19-16 loss in Week 3 action. The game saw Holy Trinity’s sophmore quarterback, OPC Participant Nathan Rourke play like a veteran in guiding the Titans to a victory. Nelson opened the scoring on an Adam Preocanin field goal midway through the opening quarter but Holy Trinity would respond right away on a long catch and run touchdown to grab a 7-3 lead. Two more Preocanin field goals would put Nelson up 9-7 before they conceded the safety to tie the game at 9 in the third quarter. Tyson Delic would cap a long Nelson drive with a touchdown run to put the Lords ahead 16-9 late in the third quarter. The Titans hung tough and scored a touchdown on their next drive and added the go ahead field goal with just over 4 minutes to play. Costly penalties at crucial times down the stretch cost Nelson several chances to get close enough for a tying field goal attempt.
