CFC OVFL Game of the Week Preview: “We want to put ourselves in the best possible position”

The varsity Metro Toronto Wildcats trumped their inter-city rival, the Scarborough Thunder in a nail-biting 10-7 contest in Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) action.

With this Battle of Toronto loss, the Thunder suffered their first loss of the season.

The win gives both the Wildcats and Thunder identical 2-1 records.

The dynamic duo of Trevelle Wisdom and Deshawn Stevens continue to dominate the Wildcats defensive statistics totaling a combined 40 tackles and 1 interception.

Greg Dossett has been tearing up the run game with 12 carries for 106 yards and 2 touchdowns.

“We want to put ourselves in the best possible position in the conference standings heading into Ottawa,” indicated Head Coach Russ Hoff last week.

The Wildcats will use this win against the Thunder as momentum for this week’s upcoming game on the road against the undefeated (3-0) Ottawa Myers Riders.

The Wildcats will play visitor in Ottawa on Saturday, June 14th at 5:00pm at the Minto Field at the Nepean Sportsplex.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
