Dinos’ winning culture impresses commit

Calgary adds an out-of-province commit to their 2019 class.

CFC100 Steven Schwartz, an offensive lineman from Saint James School, is looking to make a name for himself with the University of Calgary Dinos.

“They have a great established program in Canada with a rich, winning culture,” Schwartz said. “They have a great coaching staff from the top to bottom that is committed to making the program the best it can be. Calgary also has a ton of success with sending guys to the CFL.”

Continuing his praise of the coaches, he said, “As a head coach, Coach Harris has done a great job and getting Coach Sheahan as our offensive coordinator only makes the staff even better.”

Standing at 6’2, 290lbs, Schwartz is interested in taking either marketing or management.

Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Schwartz has been playing football south of the border with the Saint James Saints (Mid-Atlantic Conference). He won three All-MAC awards and four All-Washington County awards. In 2015, he was a member of Team East at the Fox 40 Prospect Challenge.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
