Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): DB Keneford waiting for recognition

William Keneford started playing football eight years ago wit h the Nepean Redskins.

“My football experience to date has been filled with ups and downs, but it’s been my favourite experience as it is my favourite sport,” said Will.

During his career, the defensive back has also played in Central Ontario Secondary Schools Athletics (COSSA) with the Centennial Chargers.

Currently, he is playing with the Kingston/Limestone District Grenadiers in the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).

The Grenadier is also participating in this year’s Fox 40 Prospect Challenge, and hopes to become a better football player while getting recognition from coaches and competing with the best players his age.

During the offseason, Will works with a trainer, and on his own, to improve his football power, strength and speed.

On the field, the defensive back’s role model, and favourite player in his position, is Eric Berry because of how he came back from cancer.

“I love football because I enjoy playing the game and it teaches me good morals in becoming a man,” commented Will.
