Fox 40 Prospect Challenge (Central): Trojan Rombough ready fort this year’s challenge

Remmington Rombough has been playing football for four years and his football experience has made him appreciate having a team behind him on and off the field.

During his career, he has played for the bantam Gananoque Trojans, the Brockville Bucaneers in the Brockville Youth Football Association (BYFA) and now with his high school team, the Gananoque Trojans in the Eastern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (EOSSAA).

Last season, Remmington got well over 50 tackles, four sacks, 12 blocked field goals and three forced fumbles.

The Trojan also played on last year’s Fox 40 Prospect Challenge East freshman team, and will be participating again this year.

“I just hope to go as far as I can in football,” said Remmington.

During the offseason, the Trojan does not do a whole lot, but he tries to think of what position he can improve on and he tries to put himself into a situation of the following season.

On the field, his idol is Aaron Donald because he was put down because of his smaller stature in his position, and within the last two seasons he has shut out any remaining doubt.

“I love football because I can show up and play as hard as I can and know I can still improve,” commented Remmington.
