Laval adds two local commits to the Class of 2020
Alexandre Knox, a linebacker from Cégep Garneau, and Vincent Delisle, a defensive back from Champlain College Lennoxville, know that they belong with the Laval Rouge et Or.

Alexandre Knox is right where he wants to be. A resident of Québec City, Québec, he said that Laval is his hometown team, and he grew up watching them play. “I think it’s the best team in the country, and I want to play with the best,” he added.
When it comes to the coaches, Knox said he has a good feeling talking with Marc Fortier, the team’s defensive coordinator. “He wants to win, and I want to be a part of his plan for the future years,” Knox says. “Also, the defensive back coach at Laval, Olivier Turcotte-Létourneau, coached me in the past, and I’ve always loved working with him.”
Standing at 6’2, 200lbs, the outside linebacker spent three years with Les Élans du Cégep Garneau (RSEQ Division 1). He was a defensive captain on the team. Before that, Knox, who is interested in business administration, played at l’École secondaire Saint-Jean-Eudes.
Vincent Delisle

Vincent Delisle is ready to return to the place where it all started. “I choose to commit to Laval to comeback to my hometown,” he says. “(Also), the winning tradition, the coaching staff and the opportunities that are there were the best for me. I also had this feeling it was just the right place for me.”
Delisle is no stranger to his positional coach, Turcotte-Létourneau, either. “He coached me at Team Québec and Team Canada, so I already had him as a coach,” he says. “I like the coaching staff that’s there … I think that this coaching staff can help me be the best player I can be.”
The potential kinesiology student is 6’2, 185lbs. He played with Le Blizzard du Séminaire Saint-François in high school, and the Champlain College Lennoxville Cougars in Cégep.
In 2016, he won a Bol d’or in high school. While with the Cougars, he won a Bol d’or in 2017 and 2019. He was also on the 2016 high school all-star team. In 2018 and 2019, he was on the Collegial DI all-star team.
