Carabins add local commit to their 2018 class.
Jahson Lafontant-Denis, a linebacker from Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, doesn’t want to change the University of Montréal Carabins; no, he wants to make sure they stay exactly as they are.
“The Carabins of Montréal are a winning team and I think I can help them stay (like that), and I know the ambiance is pretty good,” Lafontant-Denis said. “When I was in high school, my coach Jean-Sebastien Martel brought me to visit the stadium and he told me that I was going to play on this team. He was a positive influence for me and since that day I knew I wanted to play for this team.”
Standing at 5’11, 205lbs, Lafontant-Denis played with Les Sphinx de l’École secondaire Jacques-Rousseau (RSEQ) in high school before joining Les Lynx du Cégep Édouard Montpetit (RSEQ Division 2). Lafontant-Denis, who is from Longueil, Québec, was the 2017 RSEQ defensive player of the league.
