Jordan Melo wanted to join a football team after watching his friend play for the Newmarket Buccanneers (now York Region Lions). “Him and his parents would always tell me to join his team because of my stature,” replied Jordan. “I wanted to play football so badly, unfortunately my parents wouldn’t allow to play as they felt I was too young.”
