OFC JV: Tide drown Jr. Argos

The junior varsity Toronto Jr. Argos had a tough game last week against the North Halton Crimson Tide. The Jr. Argos lost by a significant margin, 49-6.

With the loss, the Jr. Argos have been pushed out of the playoff picture, but the season is not over yet. “We are getting healthy”, says head coach Derek McDonald. “We are battling back and getting some of our key players back is important”

Next week the Jr. Argos will take on the Clarington Knights in Clarington. The Knights have not been able to win yet this season and are currently occupy the bottom of the OFC. “With a win we control our own destiny,” says McDonald.

If the Jr. Argos are going to continue onto the playoffs, the need to win their remaining games. With a week nine BYE week, their place in the final eight is still up for grabs.

The game will be at Clarington at 11:00AM.
