Pumped for Ottawa

Perth receiver signs with OUA team.

Being surrounded throughout his career by former and present Ottawa Gee-Gees players, it was inevitable that Luke Rawling would become one of them.

Recently, the 6’2, 205 pound receiver from Perth, Ontario signed with the Gee-Gees for the 2014 OUA season.

“Many of my coaches in junior varsity were playing for the Gee-Gees or were Gee-Gees alumni and they all turned out very well and spoke highly of the program,” explained Rawling of his decision.  “I am familiar with their facilities and the trainer and have already met many of the players and it seems like a very welcoming environment for me.”
“Also going to Ottawa gives me a chance to be close to home so my family can easily come and watch my games. I have only heard good things about their program and I’m pumped to go there.”

Rawling comes to the Gee-Gees after completing four seasons with the Perth Blue Devils of the Eastern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (EOSSAA).  Additionally, he has suited up for the Ottawa Myers Riders of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) as well as the bantam Myers Riders squad of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).
