Rams welcome three out-of-province commits to their 2019 class.
Josh Howe, an athlete from Medicine Hat High School, has the utmost confidence in the University of Regina Rams coaches.
Defensive back Ethan Mather and linebacker Garrett Hatchard from Lloydminster Comprehensive High School will also be joining the Rams.
Josh Howe
When Josh Howe visited the Rams, he knew his search was over. “I really enjoyed how everything was really close together on campus and the way the football coaches hold the team accountable with things like workouts and study hall,” he said. “Also, all the guys that I talked to were fantastic people and I can’t wait to spend more time with them.”
Howe, who is interested in education, added that the coaches were “really down to earth and approachable. Every one of them that I met seems to be fantastic and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them!”
Howe grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where he played football for nine years. He played high school ball with the Medicine Hat Mohawks (RFC). He was also a member of the Medicine Hat Hawks (Rangeland Bantam Football). The 6’2, 220lbs defensive end and tight end was an RFC champion and RFC all-star.

He was described as a “hard-hitting defensive back who can cover and play all special teams” and “is also the emotional leader of the defense”. He also played with the Kings Red Dogs (LMFA).
