Elijah has played for a number of teams in different leagues.  As a youngster,  Elijah played both for the local Windsor Minor Football Association and the Essex Ravens of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFl).

Attending Catholic Central Highschool in London, Elijah quickly become a force on both sides of the ball for his Crusaders receiving Rookie of the Year honors in grade nine and following it up with an Outstanding Junior Male Athlete Award in grade 10. In the eleventh grade, Elijah took home team MVP and was named a First Team All City player at the safety position. Elijah repeated as team MVP in grade 12 and once again was named a First Team All City player, but this time at the linebacker position.

During his time with the Ravens, Elijah has had an impressive minor career. In his first junior varsity season with the Ravens, Elijah was recognized as the Offensive Player of the Year. In his second junior varsity season,  Elijah was named team MVP, OVFL All-Star, and the Adams Provincial Conference Junior MVP. That same year, Elijah lead the OVFL in rushing, posting 1245 yards on 124 carries.

Elijah continued his dominance at the varsity level.  In his first year for the varsity Ravens,  he placed third in rushing yards with 87 carries for 752 yards while gaining 1027 all purpose yards and once again being named an OVFL All-Star. This past season, Elijah established himself as the number one back in the league, amassing 1287 yards on 146 carries with 12 touchdowns and an 8.9 yard per carry average. Once again, he was named an OVFL All-Star.

Elijah’s most memorable moment was setting the all time record for most rushing yards in a game by a junior varsity Raven. Elijah went off, going 330 yards on 19 carries for 17 yards per carry while scoring four touchdowns.

Elijah credits his mother and grandfather as the main influences in his life.

Eliajh’s favorite professional player is Alfred Morris of the NFL’s Washington Redskins, as Elijah feels he and Morris share one skill in particular at the running back position,

“I try to play like him vision wise, that’s the strength of my game,” says Elijah.  “He has great vision.”

Elijah was proudly born in Sault Ste. Marie and would like to one day become an ambassador for football in the northern Ontario city.

“I love my hometown and I motivate myself to become something special in the football world so I can help make football stronger up there,” says Eljiah.

Elijah has yet to sink his teeth into the recruiting process but hopes there will be many suitors lining up for him.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
