Marcus Marchese was the hero yesterday at Centennial Stadium.
Marchese was successful on a 21 yard field goal attempt late in the fourth quarter to catapult Richview Saints to a 12-10 victory over CFC # 38 West Ferris Trojans.
In the first quarter, Saints pivot Austin Rosbrook connected with Marchese for a 34 yard touchdown reception.
However the Trojans countered when Zach Delorme dashed into the end zone to tally a 51 yard major. Soon after, Riley Anderson was successful on a 21 yard field goal to give the Trojans a slim 10-9 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, Marchese’s field goal in the third quarter was the difference maker. Not only was it the only score of the half (in the third quarter), but it propelled the Saints to victory.
