NCAA teammates reunite to join CWUAA team’s 2014 class.

The University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds recently announced the signings of two recruits that recently played south of the border in NCAA Division 2.

Missouri Southern Lions teammates Dashawn Cassell and Emmanuel Koleosho have committed to the CWUAA team for team for the 2014 season.

Cassell is a 6’2, 280 pound defensive lineman from Shawnee, New Jersey.

“Dashawn is a blue chip player with multiple Division 1 opportunities coming out of high school,” commented Thunderbirds Recruiting and Special Teams Coordinator Paul Orazietti.  “After brief stops at the College of the Canyons, Missouri Southern and a preseason camp with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Dashawn has found his way to UBC.”

“He is an explosive player who is versatile and athletic enough to play both defensive end and defensive tackle.  He has great pro potential and we are excited to add him to our program.”

Meanwhile, Koleosho is 6’3, 220 pound defensive lineman from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Emmanuel is a huge man who comes to UBC with NCAA experience from Missouri Southern University,” added Orazietti.  “He also has pro potential and should help to solidify the interior of our D – line.”

“He excited about playing north of the border and sees UBC as a great opportunity to showcase his abilities as a prospect for professional football.  We are excited at UBC to be gaining such a quality player.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
