Connor Perry

CONNOR PERRY:

The 6’1, 290 pound offensive lineman from Mississauga, Ontario was sold on the Antigonish, Nova Scotia campus after an official visit.

“The reason for choosing St.FX was the great atmosphere and feel I got when I went for my tour and to watch a game,” explained Perry of his decision.  “The program and coaching staff seem great and geared toward success.”

“It feels like a great place to play my university football and attend university.”

Perry comes to the X-Men after completing his high school career with Port Credit Warriors of the Region of Peel Secondary Schools Athletic Association (ROPSSAA). Moreover, he suited up for the Halton Cowboys of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).  During his time with the Cowboys, he was named the team’s Lineman of the Year.

“Connor is an aggressive intelligent football player who has excellent technique,” commented X-Mean Head Coach Gary Waterman.  “We are excited to have him join the X-Men family and believe his physical play will help him in his transition to the CIS level.”

LIAM TURGEON:

The 6’4, 330 pound offensive lineman from Tide Head, New Brunswick joins the X-Men after playing for high school football for Sugarloaf Bruins in Campbellton.

“Liam is a multi-sport athlete who was the 2013 New Brunswick provincial shot put champion,” said Waterman.  “He has been named to the New Brunswick high performance team.”

“We think that Liam’s size and athleticism will be a great asset to our program.”
