CEGEP runnning back joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class.
Samuel Dupuis wants to go to a winner.
Recently, the 5’8, 165 pound running back from Saint-Jean-sur Richelieu, Quebec has committed to the Montreal Carabins. Dupuis will join the team for the 2016 RESQ season.
“I went with the Montreal Carabins because I liked the vibe there,” explained Dupuis of his decision. “I had a great feeling when I visited the university.”
“Montreal is a winning team and it a great program. I want to go to the HEC to study marketing.”
Dupuis is completing his final season with CEGEP Division 2 team, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Geants. In 2014, he helped the Geants win the Bol D’Or Championship. That season, the running back was named as CEGEP Division 2 Offensive Player of the Year and selected as an All-Star as he smashed the league’s rushing record as he amassed 1704 yards in nine games. He also tallied 12 majors.
In seven games this fall, Dupuis has rushed for 817 yards (average of 7.4 yards per carry) and scored 10 touchdowns.
