72 year old Kendal returns for 10th season with the Colts


Keith Kendal returns for his 10th season as head coach of the Prairie Football Conferences’ Calgary Colts. This will be his 5th season in a row since his return prior to the 2006 campaign.

The Colts have reached the playoffs the past 3 seasons under Kendal. New roles this season include receiver coach Ray Salverda taking over Offensive Coordinator duties and previous Offensive Coordinator Rob McNab acting as an offensive consultant.

Other offensive coaches include Adam Blasetti (Offensive Line), Ian Couture (receivers) and Jason Hutchins (running backs). The defensive staff include former CIS head coach John Stevens (defensive coordinator), Joe Swift (defensive line, special teams), Biagio Iannace (linebackers) and Mike Schwieder (defensive backs).

Coach Kendal Bio:

This is Coach Kendal’s fifth season with the Colts since he returned to the program that he led to back to back Junior National Championships in 1989 & 1990. Keith has coached in the Calgary Bantam Football Association for over 15 years while winning 10 City Championships & a Provincial Div II title. He also spent 6 years as a member of the University of Calgary coaching staff winning a Vanier Cup in 1985. Coach Kendal’s many accomplishments in football include:
