BC High school week 6 notable performances: Dodd fills in, Anderson does it all

Week 6 NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Ovie Odjegba

  • Vancouver College RB Ovie Odjegba had 15 carries for 259 yards and three touchdown in his team’s 34-21 win over New Westminster. New West QB Tommy Robertson scored all three of his team’s touchdowns via rush in the loss.
  • Jacob Dodd
  • W.J. Mouat RB Jacob Dodd, filling in for star CFC TOP 100 RB Maleek Irons who did not play, scored five touchdowns including our via the rush in his team’s 48-6 win over Rutland.
  • Terry Fox RB Mike West had a pair of rushing touchdowns while teammate RB Jericho Mendez had three rushing touchdowns to lead their team to a 36-12 win over Centennial.
  • Lord Tweedsmuir RB Jamel Lyles had 22 carries for 133 yards and two touchdowns in his team’s 34-0 win over Mt. Boucherie. He also went 3-for-3 passing for 56 yards when lining up in Wildcat formation.
  • Belmont QB Brendan Holland went 10-of-22 for 94 yards and tossed a pair of touchdown passes to REC Edgar Nelson in his team’s 22-13 win over Notre Dame.
  • Handsworth LB Matt Anderson had two interceptions, one sack, one blocked kick and three convert kicks to help his team knock off West Vancouver 27-17.
  • St. Thomas More QB Chase Malcolm made his return from injury and, in one quarter of play, went 5-of-7 passing for 62 yards and a score. He also carried the ball twice for 48 yards and another score in his team’s 51-8 win over Kelowna.
  • John Barsby RB Brandon Parker had five carries for 167 yards and four touchdowns to help lead his team to a 68-0 win over Spectrum.
  • Carson Graham RB A.J. Blackwell had 29 carries for 139 yards and two touchdowns to help his team squeak by Windsor 20-19. Windsor QB Ty Marshall went 16-of-24 for 213 yards and threw two touchdowns in the loss.
  • Robert Bateman REC Tanner Friesen had two catches for 60 yards and one touchdown while also adding 10 tackles on defence to help his team topple Abbotsford 20-6.
  • Ballenas RB A.J. Messner carried the ball 25 times for 122 yards and two touchdowns, while teammate RB Colin Laplante had 21 carires for 157 yards and two touchdowns to help their team defeat Nanaimo District 33-18.
  • Argyle QB Nathan Avantini went 10-of-14 for 124 yards as part of his team’s 37-0 win over Sentinel.
  • Frank Hurt RB Bash Sise-Odaa had 11 carries for 120 yards and two touchdowns in his team’s 36-13 win over Seaquam.
  • Duchess Park RB Daniel Stratton had 10 carries for 118 yards, and also had 104 receiving yards while scoring two rushing touchdowns and catching two others to lift his team to a 50-6 win over Correlieu.
  • Langley rookie QB Branden McCormick passed for 328 yards and four touchdowns in his team’s 60-34 win over GW Graham.
  • Rick Hansen QB Alex Ho passed for 256 yards and threw for one touchdown while running for another in his team’s 23-7 win over Pitt Meadows
