Winnipeg defensive back transfers back to home CIS team.
Connor Zubrecki is coming back to his home province.
Recently, the 5’9.5, 170 pound defensive back from Winnipeg transferred to the University of Manitoba Bisons for the 2014 CWUAA season.
“I signed with University of Alberta in 2013,” explained Zubrecki of his decision to transfer schools. “Eventually, I decided to return home and signed with University of Manitoba due to their strong team.”
“They appear to be contenders for the Vanier Cup and the opportunity to play in front of family, friends and former coaches is something I look forward to.”
Zubrecki guided the St. Paul Crusaders of the Winnipeg High School Football League (WHSFL) to the 2012 Anavets Bowl Championship (Provincial ‘AAA’). The Manitoba defensive back was selected to participate in the 2013 WHSFL Senior Bowl Game.
