Calgary linebacker joins CWUAA team’s 2015 class.
Mason Johnson wants to be part of a perennial contender.
Consequently, the 6’1, 205 pound linebacker from Calgary, Alberta signed with the Calgary Dinos. Johnson will join the team for the 2015 CWUAA season.
“I committed to the University of Calgary because they have proven in the past few years that they are a top team in the country and they have lots of talent that I want to become a part of so I can help with the continuation of success that the program has already shown,” elaborated Johnson of decision. “Their academic help and scheduling that the program offers was also the most comforting.”
The linebacker comes to the Dinos after completing a stint with Centennial Coyotes of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA). In addition to the Coyotes, Johnson has also played with South Calgary Colts of the Calgary Area Midget Football Association (CAMFA). In addition to linebacker, the standout has also played at the defensive end position.
With his commitment, Johnson will be reunited with former Coyotes teammate receiver Evan Dutton, who also signed with the Dinos.
