CEGEP defensive back/linebacker newest recruit to join OUA team’s 2015 class.
Yesterday, the Carleton Ravens announced the commitment of Guillaume Caron to their football program.
The 5’10, 195 pound defensive back/linebacker (outside) from Montreal, Quebec will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.
Caron comes to the Ravens after suiting up for CEGEP Division 1 team, Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars.
“Guillaume is an outstanding addition to the Ravens program,” commented Ravens Head Coach Steve Sumarah of Caron’s commitment. “He is exactly what we are looking for in a student-athlete; he is smart and physical player.”
“Having played at such a great program at Champlain we expect Guillaume to come in and contribute right away with the Ravens.”
For his part, the CEGEP defensive standout was sold on the Ottawa, Ontario campus after his first official visit.
“From my first visit, I knew Carleton was my place to be,” expressed Caron. “The coaches are dynamic and devoted for their players.”
“I am excited about the need they have towards winning and impressed with how good the players are treated. I will not hide the fact that the facilities are amazing and that Carleton University has invested a lot into their football program. I think this young team have potential and good resources to be successful over the years.”
Ultimately, Caron has one goal he wants to achieve during his time with the Ravens.
“I don’t want to be part of history,” said Caron. “I want to make history happen.”
