With the second half of the season about to kick off, on one can afford to fall behind. Separation among the haves and have nots has commenced and will only grow with each week.

Here are our fearless picks for the midway point of 2015.

CFC CEGEP PICK ‘EM 2015 (4) WEEK 5:

LES TITANS DU LIMOILOU (2-2) @ #1 LE NOTRE DAME DE COLLEGE NOTRE DAME-DE-FOY (CNDF) (4-0) Friday Sept. 18 20h00 – Séminaire Saint-François

THE MATCH UP: Limoilou comes in off a big win over defending champion Vieux Montréal. The first year D1 squad have impressed, if not surprised many and won’t be intimated heading into this one against unbeaten and top ranked CNDF. CNDF have looked awfully good so far and return a lot of players from a 2014 squad that were mere seconds from a Bol d’Or appearance.

LIMOILOU PLAYERS TO WATCH: REC Mathieu Robitaille, REC Gabriel St. Pierre, DB Hugo Lord, Simon Rowley-Bernard, LB Julien Matte-Lajoie, LB Louis-Philippe Bélanger

CNDF PLAYERS TO WATCH: REC Jérémie Sauvageau, REC Alexandre Gailloux, QB David Pelletier, RB Alexis Côté, RB Luca Perrier, LB Yvan Hakizimana, DB Christophe Bouchard, LB Alexandre Paré, LB Jean-Philippe Hudon

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: At the end of the day the day CNDF is the better team, have more offensive fire power and boast more defensive depth. That’s not to take away from Les Titans, but they will have their hands full trying to stop the CNDF attack and their multiple weapons.

FINAL SCORE: CNDF 30 LIMOILOU 16

LES ÉLANS DU GARNEAU (1-3) @ #2 CHAMPLAIN-LÉNNOXVILLE COUGARS (4-0) – Friday Sept. 18 20h00 Coulter Field

THE MATCH UP: Garneau is coming off their first win of the season, their reward? A trip to Lennoxville to face the 2nd ranked and undefeated Cougars. Possibly the only offense deeper than CNDF may be the Cougars who can pass and run with equal efficiency.

GARNEAU PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB William Blais, REC Mathieu Soucy, REC Mathieu Blanchette, RB Olivier Forgues, LB Philippe Ouellet

LÉNNOXVILLE PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Mike Arruda, REC Marc Antoine-Pivin, DB Khadeem Pierre, LB Samuel Brodrique, RB Guillaume Conraud-Ares, RB Philippe Lessard-Vézina, DL Cheikhe Sidy Sow, DB Adam Auclair, LB Alain Cimankinda

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: Running back Olivier Forgues gives Garneau a chance in any game, but the Cougars defense who are often forgotten, should shut down just about every other facet, while controlling Forgues. Look for Lennoxville to score almost at will early while Garneau is just not equipped to keep pace..

FINAL SCORE: LÉNNOXVILLE 49 GARNEAU 21

#3 LES NOMADES DU MONTMORENCY (3-1) @ LES SPARTIATES DU VIEUX MONTRÉAL (2-2) Saturday Sept. 19 20h00 – Collège Notre-Dame

THE MATCH UP: The defending champs are on the ropes! After starting 2-0 they have dropped their last two and now must try to knock off #3 Montmorency in an attempt to avoid dropping below .500 this late in a season for the first time in a while.

MONTMORENCY PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Eric Parr, REC Félix Laflamme, REC Bruno Labelle, RB Kevin Dubois, DB Raphaël Ntumba-Muntu

VIEUX MONTRÉAL PLAYERS TO WATCH: REC Joël Soucy, QB Frédéric Paquette-Perrault, RB Dynell Pierre, LB Enock Makonzo, LB Umar Temoor,

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: Vieux was the victim of a minor upset last week, now they will perform their own….Not a huge upset but Vieux will get back on track in a game that will come down to the last few possessions.

FINAL SCORE: VIEUX MONTRÉAL 24 MONTMORENCY 21

VANIER CHEETAHS (1-3) @ #4 LES FAUCONS DU LÉVIS-LAUZON (2-2) Saturday Sept. 19 13h00 – Cégep de Lévis-Lauzon

THE MATCH UP: A must win for the Cheetahs who do not want to head into the second half of 2015 needing to will ALL their games just to have a winning record. That’s right the Cheetahs risk dropping to 1-4 in a road game against #4 Lévis-Lauzon. Les Faucons have looked good this year with their only losses, respectable defeats at the hands of Montmorency and 2nd ranked Champlain. Problem is those were their last two outings and the 2-0 start is seemingly a fading memory. Losing a third straight could potentially derail an otherwise promising season.

VANIER PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Dimitri Sinodinos, DB Kean Harelimana, LB Darren Kyeremeh, DB Zack Fitzgerald, DB Brian Harelimana, REC Khalil Kerr, RB Ryth-Jean Giraud

LÉVIS-LAUZON PLAYERS TO WATCH: DB Jean-Philippe Lévesque, LB Raphaël Faucher, DB Guillaume D’Anjou, REC Antoine Mailhot, REC Jonathan Breton-Robert, RB Vincent Breton-Robert OL Samuel Lefebvre, OL François Côté

WHAT WILL HAPPEN: Expect les Faucons to take full advantage of home field in this one and get back in the W column.

FINAL SCORE: LÉVIS-LAUZON 31 VANIER 22
