Three great games will be played this coming weekend; Will the Spartiates defence and #CFC100 DB Benjamin St-Juste be able to stop Garneau’s air attack including receiver Mathieu Blanchette! Is #CFC100 LB Kean Harelimana and the Vanier defence going to stop the Titans running game? Can #CFC100 QB Dimitri Morand and the rest of the Géants offence outscore the Cougars?

CNDF DT #99 Samuel Maranda-Bizeau
Collège Montmorency Nomades (0-4) vs Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy (3-1) The Montmorency offence scored some points last week, but Notre-Dame’s defensive unit, which is third in the league with the fewest points against and led by #CFC100 DT Samuel Maranda-Bizeau, will be hard to breakthrough. Notre-Dame loss against the Cougars last week has generated some bad blood and they will rebound. Even though their offence generated 490 total yards, QB David Pelletier completing 33 out 46 for 358 yards and 3 touchdowns, the Cougars kicker ruined their perfect season hopes. The Nomades defence is not going to be able to stop the Notre-Dame’s offensive surge and they will remain winless.

André-Grasset OLB #22 Yacine Audette
Cégep Lévis-Lauzon Faucons (0-4) vs Collège André-Grasset Phénix (3-1) The Phénix also lost their undefeated title and will look for revenge against the troubleshooting Faucons offence who were predictable having to rely on the run last week. The André-Grasset defence has been almost spotless and has been pressuring QB’s with the efficient play of #CFC100 DE Philippe Lemieux-Cardinal, who leads the division in sacks, and OLB Yacine Audette. Between the two of them, they have produced 10 sacks. The Faucons defence is the weak link and the Phénix will take advantage in winning this clash of unequal forces.
Vanier Receiver #19 Samuel Emilus
Vanier College Cheetahs (3-1) vs Cégep Limoilou Titans (2-2) The Cheetahs enter this competition with three wins in their pocket, which the last two were against the Cougars and the Phénix, making this group a pretty confident one. The Vanier offence has been relatively productive, fifth in points for, but the defence has been dominant and they are #1 in points against with 62. Darren Kyeremeh, who leads the division with 40.5 total tackles, had 13.5 tackles including 1 for loss and an interception against the Phénix, and #CFC100 LB Kean Harelimana, who sits in third place for total tackles at 32, will stop Limoilou’s run game. While #CFC100 DB Tyris Lebeau, who had a pick for 6 last week, will try to stop the Titans passing attack, led by QB Olivier Bamrounsavath who has completed 35 out of 76 for 459 yards, 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. The Limoilou defence might keep the Vanier offence under 30 points, but their offence won’t be able to generate enough points to win this challenge.

Spartiates’ offensive line
Cégep Vieux-Montréal Spartiates (2-2) vs Cégep Garneau Élans (2-2) The Vieux-Montréal ground game will be a load to stop, but their defence will be the difference in this match up. The Élans QB Joé Hudon, who completed 17 out of 23 for 387 yards and three touchdowns and with 1353 passing yards which place him at the number 2 spot in that category, will face a Spartiates defence anchored by DE Pierre-Gabriel Germain, 8 total tackles and 4 sacks, who piled up 8 sacks against one of the best offences in the division. Also, in that devastating unit, #CFC100 Julien Le Guéhennec and #CFC100 DB Benjamin St-Juste who contributed in keeping the Géants offence away from the goal line. This game might end up being a rushing contest with Vieux-Montréal’s RB Jean Clifford Dazouloute and RB Samuel Erick Valentin competing against the Élans’ RB’s committee with Christophe Tremblay-Harnois, Karl Moughagha and Paul Hébert. If Hudon has a good day, Garneau will be 3-2.

Cougars QB #12 Thomas Bolduc
Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars (3-1) vs Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Géants (2-2) The Géants offensive air assault has the advantage over the young Cougars secondary, but the Champlain’s front 7 will stop their ground game and could create enough pressure to affect the Géants #CFC100 QB Dimitri Morand, who leads the division with 1596 passing yards and 14 touchdowns. His counterpart, who got his first start last week, Cougars Thomas Bolduc who completed 20 out of 30 for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns, could be the one that tips the odds in favor of the Cougars. But, the Champlain running game, led by RB Thomas Bertrand-Hudon who sits in second place with 459 yards and #CFC100 OT Patrick Davis, balances their offence and will give them the edge to win this game, considering the way the Géants defence was mishandled by the Spartiates running attack.
