Many RB’s carried their teams to victory! The Vert et Or gave the undefeated Maraudeurs a battle!

Saint Jean-Eudes Condors (3-3) vs École Secondaire Triolet Harfangs (4-2) The matchup of the weekend turned out to be a defensive domination by the Harfangs who kept the Condors to 288 total yards and only one touchdown. With 5 sacks and 2 interceptions, the Triolet defence kept their offence on the field. The Harfangs’ double threat QB Lukas Boulanger, who completed 17 out of 21 for 201 yards, 2 touchdowns and rushing for 27 yards and a major, was mistake free and guided the offence to a 30-9 victory. His mains target again this week, WR Gabriel Boulanger who caught 7 passes for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns. This win places them in in third place with a 4-2 record.
Séminaire Saint-François Blizzard (6-0) vs Académie Les Estacades Aigles (2-5) The Estacades defence was able to slow down Saint-François RB Kalenga Muganda, who rushed for 132 yards on 13 carries and scored a major, but permitted QB Raphael Latulippe to have a great night with 13 completions on 19 attempts for 182 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Blizzard defence was dominating and the Aigles’ offence could only generate 104 yards in total with no points. A 38-0 win keeps the Blizzard undefeated.
Académie Saint-Louis Arsenal (1-6) vs École Sec. Curé-Antoine-Labelle Loups (3-3) Not only did the Curé-Antoine-Labelle defence stop the Arsenal QB/RB Charles Goulet, they kept the whole offence to a mere 119 total yards, including 3 sacks and a pick, with zero points. The Loups offence, led by young QB Xavier Tremblay who was almost perfect on the day with 8 out 10 for 82 yards and a major, cumulated 289 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns. The Loups RB, Anthony Renault, rushed for 147 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown to help his team regain an even record at with a 22-0 win.
Collège Jean-Eudes Aigles (3-3) vs École Sec. Roger-Comtois Patriotes (1-5) The Patriotes defence did stop the Aigles’ QB Arnaud Desjardins from hurting them with his legs, but he did pass for 145 yards and a touchdown, which wasn’t what hurt them. The Roger-Comtois offence did manage the ball with the running game with RB Dale Laverdière rushing for 173 yards on 22 carries, while both their QB’s combined 73 yards passing, but the 3 interceptions proved to be destructive. Jean-Eudes took advantage of the opportunities and piled up a 23-11 win, including a score on a 100 yard kickoff return by RB Alexandre Gravel who also rushed for 81 yards during the contest, to bring their record to 3-3.

Armand-Corbeil’s offensive line
École Sec. Pointe-Lévy Corsaires (2-4) vs École Sec. Armand-Corbeil Scorpions (6-1) The Pointe-Lévy offence tried to keep the Scorpions offence off the field, but to no prevail. The Armand-Corbeil offence crushed the Corsaires’ defence with their RB’s, Danté Tortoricci who carried the rock 13 times for 126 yards and a major, and Mathieu Vachon who rushed for 133 yards on 11 carries with a touchdown. Complemented by QB/RB Justin Leduc who completed 18 out of 23 for 332 yards and 5 touchdown, and rushed 76 yards. Leduc hit RB Danté Tortoricci 3 times, which he converted into 113 yards and a major, and his favourite target, WR Gabriel Leblanc, with 2 passes for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns making this a 61-29 victory and enabling them to claim the number 2 spot.

Deux-Montagnes RB #6 Vincent Desjardins
Poly. Deux-Montagnes Centurions (1-5) vs École Sec. Jacques-Rousseau Sphinx (0-6) Jacques-Rousseau remains winless and the Centurions grab their first win with a 28-14 bought. The Sphinx offence was not able to put enough points on the board to beat Deux-Montagnes and their defence could not stop QB Olivier Pineau and RB Vincent Desjardins.

Collège Laval Defence
Collège Laval Maraudeurs (6-0) vs Séminaire Saint-Joseph Vert et Or (3-3) The Vert et Or defence displayed a lot of character by slowing down the electrifying Maraudeurs attack and keeping them to 24 points. The Vert et Or offence, led by QB/RB Charles Cossette, was not able to find their groove and score. The Collège Laval defence had not been in this type of situation yet, the offence not scoring a lot of points, and they rose to the occasion to keep Saint-Joseph under constant pressure, procuring a 24-8 win and remain undefeated.

École Sec. Saint-Stanislas Patriotes (3-3) vs Collège de Lévis Commandeurs (4-3) This exciting game saw many points scored on special teams with both kickers attempting 4 field goals, the Commandeurs missed one, and a touchdown scored on a kickoff return with the Patriotes WR Marce Kerby Lamarre. Both teams exchanged turnovers, including 2 interceptions each and the Patriotes earned 2 points on a safety. The Patriotes defence faced an explosive QB/RB in Tristan Blais, who completed 7 out of 18 154 yards, 1 touchdown and rushed for 194 yards on 19 carries with 2 majors. Also complicating things for the Saint-Stanislas defence, was the Commandeurs RB, Gabriel Leblond, who rushed for 163 yards in 18 carries and 2 touchdowns.The Patriotes offence was able to put 32 points on the board with RB Yves-Christian Bararuhanya who rushed 134 yards and scored a touchdown, while QB Félix Marsolais completed 8 out 24 for 136 yards and two TD’s. Losing this tight game 32-36, the Patriotes are tied in fourth place with two other teams and, with the win, the Commandeurs are positioned at number three.
