The BC Conference announced their Most Outstanding Players and Coach of the Year for the 2017 season as a build up to the Cullen Cup championship game on Saturday night when the #1 Westshore Rebels host the #3 VI Raiders.

BC Conference Outstanding Players:
Ranji Mattu Memorial Coach of the Year – Charly Cardilicchia – Westshore Rebels (9-1). He led the Rebels to nine straight wins and the #1 seed in the BC Conference in just his first year at the helm.
Outstanding Offensive Lineman – Christian Krause-Westshore Rebels (second consecutive season)
Outstanding Offensive Back – Trey Campbell – Westshore Rebels – He won the BC Conference rushing crown with 126 carries for 814 yards, 9 touchdowns, averaging 6.5 yards a carry.
Outstanding Receiver – Brycen Mayoh – VI Raiders – 44 receptions for 805 yards* and 12 touchdowns*
Outstanding Defensive Lineman – Quinton Bowles – VI Raiders – 24 tackles, 5 assisted tackles, led the CJFL with 11.5 sacks* and recorded one fumble recovery
Outstanding Defensive Linebacker – Conor Richard – Okanagan Sun – 29 tackles, 7 assisted tackles, 2 sacks, 1 blocked kick, 4 knockdowns, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 1 interception for a touchdown
Outstanding Defensive Back – Tye Kitzman – Okanagan Sun – 29 tackles, 8 assisted tackles, 10 knockdowns, 6 interceptions including one for a touchdown
Outstanding Special Teams – Brycen Mayoh – VI Raiders – 62 kick returns for 1,315 yards and 2 touchdowns. His return average was 21.2 yards.
Return Specialist – Brycen Mayoh – 20 kickoff returns, averaging 28.6 yards. 39 punt returns, averaging 14.4 yards* and a 68 yard touchdown. Plus he added three missed field goal returns averaging 59.3 yards* and sprinted 128 yards for a touchdown
Rookie of the Year – Defensive Back Kyle Clarot – Langley Rams – 28 tackles, 6 assisted tackles, 5 knockdowns, 2 interceptions and 1 touchdown
Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year – Quinton Bowles – VI Raiders – 24 tackles, 5 assisted tackles, led the CJFL with 11.5 sacks* and recorded one fumble recovery
Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year – Receiver Brycen Mayoh – VI Raiders – 44 receptions for 805 yards* and 12 touchdowns*
Saturday night the Rebels host the Raiders in the Canadian Bowl BC Conference Cullen Cup championship game with the winner travelling to the Prairie Conference for the CJFL National Semi-Final game.
