BCFC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (3):
Running Back – #34 Jacob Palmarin – Kamloops Broncos
In the first two weeks of the season the Kamloops Broncos threw the ball with great success, in Week 3 in was the run game that took over, led by the BC Lions Offensive Player of the Week Jacob Palmarin. He set a new Broncos team record with five touchdowns, including his “BCFC Moment” and highlight reel 45 yard touchdown gallop. In all, he rushed 12 times for 193 yards.
Defensive Lineman – #72 Ryley Bulter – Okanagan Sun
Week 3 saw the Okanagan Sun defence tie a BCFC record with 10 sacks. Ryley Butler led the charge with three of those sacks. He also compiled two tackles and one assist naming him the BC Lions Defensive Player of the Week. Butler and the Sun defence has allowed just 10 points in the first three games of the season.
Kicker – #84 Thomas Huber – Okanagan Sun
For the second time in three weeks the BC Lions Special Teams Player of the Week is kicker Thomas Huber of the Okanagan Sun. On Saturday afternoon Huber accounted for 16 of the Sun 27 points, hitting five field goals and making one convert. He also tallied three kick offs, averaging 58.3 yards.
