CJFL: Okanagan Sun fire head coach prior to playoff game

The Okanagan Sun announce that head coach Gavin Lake has been relieved of his coaching duties as of today.
 Club President Paul Carson on the decision;
“Despite Gavin’s best efforts, this season has not progressed as we had hoped
“Like any coaching change, this decision is difficult as Gavin is a good man and a good coach who has made every effort to work towards the success of the Okanagan Sun.”
Paul Carson, who served as offensive line coach for 8 seasons prior to taking over as club President in 2012 will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
The club will begin a search for a new head coach immediately following the 2012 season.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
