Caleb spent the first three seasons of his football career playing for the Lloydminster Chargers. As he moved on from the Chargers, the defensive lineman went on to suit up for the Lloydminster Comprehensive Barons of the Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA).
The highlight of the standout’s career came in 2011, when he played for the hometown crowd at the Football Canada Cup in Lethbridge. As a member of Team Alberta, Caleb won a national silver medal in the tournament.
Additionally, Caleb has won a provincial gold medal in bantam. During his time with the Barons, the defensive lineman has been selected as a league all-star for two straight seasons.
Once he graduates from high school in the spring, Caleb will move to Alberta to Saskatchewan for the next phase of his academic and football life. Recently, he committed to the University of Saskatchewan.
“I picked University of Saskatchewan because of their facilities for the Veterinary College and because I feel the football organization will help me in school if I need it,” explains the future Huskies player, who would like to be a large animal veterinarian in the future.
There are several individuals Caleb credits for being positive influences on his life.
“The most influential people in my life are my parents and grandparents and also my Pastor, who was also one of my high school football coaches,” says the Barons defensive lineman.
As he gets set to embark on the new chapter of his life at University of Saskatchewan, Caleb will take the teamwork and leaderships skills he’s learned from the game in the hopes of achieving more success.
“Some things that I have learned from football that apply into all aspects of life are things like teamwork and being a good leader; the kind of person that people enjoy being around,” comments Caleb. “I have also learned that actions speak louder than words and sometimes you need to just shut up and get er done.”
