Brandon has played football at many different levels. Among the clubs he’s played for include the atom Eskimos, peewee Raiders and the bantam Rams. During his season with the Rams, the running back was team MVP.

However, his significant gridiron achievements came while suiting up for his high school team, the Salisbury Sabres. In his first season, Brandon was team rookie of the year. Moreover, he was team most valuable offensive back in 2010.

During the 2010 season, Brandon experienced the highlight of his career.

My most memorable football experience is defeating our cross town rival in my grade 11 year in the Carr Conference final,” comments the Sabres running back.

This past season was a breakout campaign for the offensive standout as he was team MVP. Recently, he was also selected as a 2012 high school all-star.

For the next phase of his football and academic life, Brandon will move provinces as he’s recently committed to the University of Saskatchewan.

“I have chosen Saskatchewan for many reasons,” explains the future Huskies player of his decision. “Some include the football atmosphere, great coaching staff, excellent facilities and education.”

While many coaches have instructed and guided Brandon into becoming an exceptional gridiron star, there is one coach who’s had the greatest influence on his career. That individual is Sabres head coach Cam Fraser.

“He has dedicated his life to young students, and players such as myself,” says the Sabres offensive standout. “He continually pushed me and asked for the best play on and off the field.”

Moreover, there are two key individuals that Brandon says have been instrumental in encouraging yet inspiring him to succeed in all aspects of life.

“My most influential people in my life are my parents, Beth and Gord Stewart,” comments Brandon. “They have taughtme many life lessons and as well motivated me to achieve higher standards for myself.”

After he graduates from high school, the Sabres running back plans to pursue a kinesiology degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Once that is achieved, he hopes to reach his goal of getting accepted into the physiotherapy program.

If Brandon’s character and work ethic is any indication, he is poised to achieve further gridiron and life successes in the future.

“I ama very dedicated person that strives for excellence,” adds Brandon. “I have learned to work hard for what you want and to never give up even if the odds are against you.”
