
Today, CFC shines the spotlight on Class 2012 star defensive end and recent University of Calgary commit, Cory Robinson. Cory began his football career at the age of 10.

Among the teams Cory has suited up for include the Airdrie Storm and the Airdrie Northern Raiders. During his time with the peewee Storm, the defensive standout won the Coaches Award. Furthermore, he was Raiders most improved player, Raiders defensive player of the year and Raiders MVP.
Recently, Cory capped off a successful high school career with the George McDougall Mustangs of the Rocky View Football League (RVFL). While playing with the Mustangs, the defensive end was team rookie of the year, team defensive lineman of the year and team MVP.
“My most memorable football experience was my first year of football which leads to my love of the game,” recalls Cory of his gridiron career.
Once he graduates from George McDougall, the Mustangs defensive star remain in his hometown province for the next chapter of his football and academic life. He has committed to the University of Calgary based on the reputation of the football program.
“I chose the University of Calgary because it is my local university and they have proven to be a great team consistently finishing well ranked in Canada,” explains the future Dinos player. “They have a great coaching staff and a stable team.”
There are many individuals who Cory credits for enabling him to achieve all his goals on and off the field.
“My parents because have guided me into becoming the person that I am today,” says the Mustangs defensive end. “In football, my local coaches have helped me develop into the player I am today and have helped me with this great opportunity.”
While he continues to shine in all his endeavours, it is not lost on Cory what he needs to do in order to succeed in all aspects of his life.
“Football has taught me that nothing can be accomplished unless you are dedicated to put the time and effort into doing it,” comments Cory.
