CEGEP wide receiver newest recruit to join RSEQ team’s 2014 class.
For Yadel Meshesha, the final decision came down to three RSEQ schools.
In the end, the 5’11, 165 pound wide receiver from Montreal, Quebec made the choice that was the easiest, yet sensible one. He signed with the Concordia Stingers and will join the team for the 2014 RSEQ season.
“I chose Concordia over McGill and Bishops because of the school as I was already enrolled in Concordia when I committed and also the convenience factor over Bishops,” explained Meshesha of his decision. “The idea of spending a lot of money for room and board as well as leaving my city did not appeal to me.”
“Furthermore, the state of the three teams is roughly the same going into the 2014 season so Concordia was the easiest and right choice in my eyes. The addition of the new coaching staff also reassured me that my decision was a good one.”
Meshesha comes to the Stingers after playing a season for CEGEP Division 1 team, Vanier Cheetahs. Previous to the Cheetahs, the offensive standout suited up for the St. Leonard Cougars of the Ontario Football Conference (OFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).
