Gaiters bring in another Québec commit to their Class of 2017.
Louis-Félix Lépine, a middle linebacker from Cégep de Trois-Rivières, has just started his first semester at Bishop’s University and there is no doubt he is chomping at the bit to hit the field with the newly-moved AUS Gaiters in September.
Sherbrooke, Québec may not be Trois-Rivières, the long-time hometown of Lépine but that doesn’t mean that it can’t become a home. “On my first visit, I was very well received by the coaches and the players of this team,” he said. “It made me feel like (I was) at home and already like a member of this team.”

Lépine spent his cégep years playing with Les Diablos du Cégep de Trois-Rivières (RSEQ Division 2). In January, he entered the Sports Studies program at Bishop’s. Now that he is already on campus, he will have a bit more time to get to know his new coaches.
“I am very happy to play for Head Coach Chérif Nicolas. I like his football mentality, but also the way he prepares the players in the gym and at school. In defense, Coach Marc Lorenger is an excellent coach and is ready for everything for his players. It makes me feel confident for my next years,” Lépine said.
Standing at 5’9, 215lbs, he won a Bol d’Or with l’Académie les Estacades in 2012. In the 2016 season, he recorded the most tackles for his team and was third in tackles in the RSEQ Collegiate Division 2. Showing his leadership side, Lépine’s teammates voted him to be a team captain.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
