Wildcats 2014 Spring Camp
The Edmonton Wildcats Spring Camp starts tonight at Rundle Park!
The players have had a busy off-season between their work in the community volunteering at various charities, the weekly winter workouts, and monthly Boot Camps, but are excited to hit the field this weekend!
We are welcoming over 95 players to the camp, comprising of over 40 prospective and over 50 returning veteran players. Included in these veteran players are three 5th year Offensive Linemen, and four 5th year Defensive Linemen.
While CJFL record-breaking Running Back Levon Hawreliak will not be returning for the 2014 season, 2012 CJFL Rookie of the Year, and another CJFL record-holding Running Back Jordan Samoil will be returning to the ‘Cats after taking a year off to recover from a knee injury.
5th year receiver Brad Quartel who attended the CFL Regional Combine in March will be back this year as well.
We will also have a contingent of guest coaches for Spring Camp weekend, including Wildcat Alumni, current CFL Players, and former Wildcat coaches.
Spring Camp runs Thursday from 7:30-8:30pm, Friday from 7:00-9:00pm, Saturday from 9:30am-3:30pm (breaking for lunch from 11:30-1:30) and Sunday from 9:30am-3:00pm. Sunday will be our annual Blue vs. White Scrimmage starting at 12:00. Prior to thescrimmage we will be hosting a BBQ at the Clubhouse, which all media is invited to partake in at no cost.
