CFC TOP 100 offensive lineman has piled up 11 NCAA Division 1 offers.
Graydon Campbell is now up to 11 NCAA offers and counting.
This past Saturday, the 6’3, 270 pound offensive lineman from Greely, Ontario was offered by the Fordham Rams. Prior to that, Campbell received offers from Albany Great Danes (May 22nd) as well as Nevada Wolf Pack approximately three weeks ago.
The other offers are from Monmouth Hawks, Liberty Flames, Buffalo Bulls, James Madison University Dukes, Old Dominion Monarchs, University of Marshall Thundering Herd and Bucknell Bison. Campbell’s first offer came from the Elon Phoenix back on March 8th.
While he is grateful for receiving these offers, the work doesn’t end there for Campbell. This upcoming weekend, he will begin the NCAA camp circuit in Maryland. Other camps he will be attending are Duke (June 12th), Syracuse, Boston College (June 24th-27th), Harvard (June 28th) and Yale (May 29th).
Training will also be part of his plans in the coming weeks.
“I’ll be training back home with my coach Victor Tedondo of Gridiron Academy and I’ll also work out with my older brother when we are out of town either at my cottage or anywhere else,” added Campbell of his summer plans.
Currently, Campbell is playing for his high school team, Episcopal Maroon in Alexandra, Virginia, where has been selected as an All-Conference and All-State Lineman. The offensive lineman has also suited up for the St. Mark Lions of the National Capital Secondary School Athletic Association (NCSSAA) and the South Gloucester Raiders of the National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA).
It’s been a busy few months for the Ontario offensive lineman; however, yesterday marked a special moment in his gridiron career as he was ranked on the CFC TOP 100 – the tenth spot to be precise. While he is proud of the accomplishment, it is not lost on him all the people that got him to this juncture in his career.
“Last year, I wouldn’t even imagine being where I stand, with everything I have gotten this year,” expressed Campbell of his ranking. “I am proud, and grateful to have been ranked #10 of all the 2015 recruits.”
“I know without my family – especially my parents – or my coaches like Victor Tedondo and Panos Voulgaris I would not be the player I am now. It has been an amazing year for my family and I and I just want to keep grinding and be the best player for whatever team I choose to play for after EHS.”
With all his good fortune recently, Campbell has imparted some advice to other recruits looking to either get ranked on the next CFC TOP 100 or improve on their ranking.
“I would say if you’re not where you want to be, then just grind every day,” advised Campbell. “Compete, no matter what you’re doing know you can do it better.”
“The biggest thing too is finishing plays, if you pancake a kid jump on him and make him hurt, if you’re running then drop your shoulder and take a kid with you. Going to the whistle is important and that’s how you play great football.”
